As a fellow midlifer I understand the challenges of midlife and if you're looking for help then you’re in the right place. I am not just a qualified counsellor based in Harrogate, but had a long career as an NHS nurse. I, like many midlifers, have been frantically spinning lots of plates hoping that I didn’t let them smash (they did!). If you want to know more about me then go to About Me page.

I have helped many other midlifers who find themselves struggling after a divorce/separation, an empty-nest after children leaving home, bereavement, retirement or redundancy. Therapy Options Tailored to Your Needs

I provide three different therapy options:


Single Session Therapy (SST)
It is what is says on the tin - a single session but always with the proviso that there can be further sessions if needed. 

In SST you bring to the session a single issue that you want to focus on. It can be  an issue you want to explore, get clarity or aim for a solution. We will work together to find the outcome you want by the end of the session. 

This can be helpful if you need support quickly, don’t wish to commit to longer term therapy or just want to see what therapy feels like with no obligation to continue. Click here for further information.


Time Limited Therapy
Here we agree to work together for an agreed amount of time for example eight  to ten sessions. This gives you more time to explore a certain issue but can help keep the work quite focused. Click here for further information.


Ongoing Therapy
Here the sessions are ongoing until we find a point where the work is done. This will allow you the time and opportunity to explore multiple areas at depth. Click here for further information.
