As a fellow midlifer, I understand the unique challenges that come with this stage of life. If you're looking for support, you're in the right place. I’m not just a qualified counsellor based in Harrogate— I also bring the experience of a long career as an NHS nurse. Like many midlifers, I’ve juggled countless responsibilities, frantically spinning plates and hoping they wouldn’t crash (spoiler: some did!). I’ve worked with many midlifers facing challenges such as divorce or separation, adjusting to an empty nest after children leave home, coping with bereavement, navigating retirement or redundancy, or managing the demands of being part of the "sandwich generation"—caring for both children and ageing parents. Therapy Options Tailored to Your Needs
I provide three different therapy options:
Single Session Therapy (SST)
As the name suggests, this is a single session, with the option to book additional sessions if needed.
In SST, you bring a single issue to the session—something you want to explore, clarify, or resolve. Together, we’ll work towards achieving the outcome you want by the end of the session.
This option is ideal if you need support quickly, prefer not to commit to long-term therapy, or want to experience therapy without any obligation to continue. Click here for further information.
Time Limited Therapy
In this approach, we agree to work together for a set number of sessions, typically eight to ten.
Time-limited therapy provides more time to delve into a specific issue while maintaining a focused approach. Click here for further information.
Ongoing Therapy
This option offers open-ended sessions, continuing until we reach a point where the work feels complete. Ongoing therapy allows you to explore multiple areas in depth, giving you the time and space to address complex or evolving challenges. Click here for further information.
