Welcome

Specialising in helping those who have experienced a bereavement or non-bereavement loss.

There are some losses in life we can handle and some that feel just too big, too difficult and too painful to bear. Whatever the loss it can feel that your life has been turned upside down and you’ve lost your way. If you have experienced something like this you may have noticed a change in your mood (ongoing low mood, anxiousness or irritability), physical symptoms such as difficulty sleeping, tearfulness - or possibly struggling in your relationships with others. If this is where you are at then I can help you move forward.

I specialise in working with those who have suffered a loss. This might be through the loss of a person or beloved pet but can also include what I call non-bereavement loss - such as that experienced when a relationship ends, children leave home or through retirement and redundancy. Other examples of non-bereavement loss include:

  • Loss of self/identity.

  • Loss of confidence.

  • Loss of some aspect of our physical self such as fertility, eyesight or mobility.

  • Loss of property or a business.

It’s natural to try and make sense after a loss and my role is to work with you to help regain a sense of who you are, and get back on track.
