š Are you a night-time dreamer? If you are, do you believe that they may have meaning or a message for you? As a vivid night-time dreamer myself I would say most of mine donāt hold anything significant, but some do and its those ones I ālistenā to
The one recurring dream that I take notice of is where Iām driving a car that I canāt stop no matter how much Iām hitting the brakes. The dream will end or I wake up before crashing into anything.Ā I even feel anxious throughout the dream. š„ š«Ø
šš¼ What Iāve found in ālisteningā to these dreams is I began noticing a pattern that occurs around a time when Iām feeling overwhelmed and that my life is feeling out of control. This awareness means I start to look at why Iām feeling that way and if there are measures I can take to improve the situation.
Dreams often come up as something clients want to explore in counselling and can sometimes tell them about what they are experiencing in their daily waking life, emotional life, past history and also anticipation about the future.Ā š®
š A client recently told me of a recurring dream that started some months after the sudden and unexpected loss of her brother. Her dream was of her failed attempts to physically reach out and save him, and it was this that prompted her to contact me as she felt she had never really addressed her grief and loss.
āØSo my advice is not to dismiss your dreams as they could be trying to tell you something important that needs attention.
š Do you have a recurring dream that ātellsā you something or has made you take action? š¤
